Later, he became a parishioner at the Cathedral of St. Ignacious Loyola in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus in White Plains and later, in West Palm Beach. He also volunteered as a treasurer for many years with the Boys Scout of America in White Plains, the Catholic Widow and Widowers of Scarsdale, NY, and more recently, on the Board at the Cypress Lakes housing community in West Palm Beach.

Anyone who knew Dan enjoyed his sense of humor and his love of music, especially his fondness for playing the piano. He will be missed by the many whose lives he touched.
