Douglas TOCCI Obituary

Douglas L. Tocci Sr, age 78, of Hopewell Junction, and formerly of Pleasantville, N.Y., passed away peacefully on November 14th, 2010 after months of declining health. Douglas was born on September 2, 1932 to Americo (Frank) and Christine Tocci. Mr. Tocci is predeceased by his parents and wives, Noreen Torres Tocci and Gloria Marie Forenz Tocci, his sister Diane Tocci Cuatt, and granddaughter Amy Tocci. He is survived by his daughter Doreen Meyer, his sons Douglas Tocci, Brian Tocci, Michael Calebrese and John Calabrese, two brothers Donald Tocci and Larry Tocci, fourteen grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. A graduate of Pleasantville High, he was employed as a painter with his father. In 1957, Douglas married Noreen Torres of Elmsford. They had three children; Douglas, Brian and Doreen. Noreen passed in 1965. He married Gloria Marie Forenz in 1971. Douglas joined the Chappaqua Central School District in the Grounds and Maintenance Department retiring in 1994 after 26 years and worked frequently with his father and brother, Donald. He will be remembered as a hard working, loyal and devoted father who enjoyed helping others and spending time with family. He will be greatly missed. Reposing Beecher Funeral Home, Pleasantville, N.Y. Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where funeral services will be held Friday 10 AM. In lieu of flowers online donations to American Lung Association are appreciated.
