Gloria W. Anderson, a resident of St. Joseph's Adult Home in Eagle Valley, NY, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 15th, 2014. One of seven children born to Frank and Ruth Wennstrom, she was born on February 15, 1924 in Suffern, NY.
Gloria was retired from her position as a crisis counselor for the County of Rockland where she worked for 20 years. She graduated from Mercy College with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology.
Gloria loved to ride her horse "SULLY," a palomino mare. She also loved ballroom dancing. Gloria was a very descriptive writer who wrote many short stories from real life situations, some of which were published in local newspapers.
She was predeceased by her husband John and her son Richard. She is survived by her sister, Naomi, her daughter, Patricia, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A gathering of friends will be held on May 10, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 3PM at the Scarr Funeral Home, Route 202, Suffern.
