Krauter, Harriet
Harriet Krauter, 87, formerly of Jefferson Village in Yorktown Heights, died December 3 after a brief hospitalization. Born Harriet Reiter in the Bronx, she was married for 34 years to Leonard Krauter, who predeceased her. Harriet had an unmatched zest for life. She attended City College of New York and worked as a bookkeeper for many years, enjoyed travel, playing golf, tennis, and mah-jongg with friends, and loved her family: Leonard, who died in 1979, children Carol (Irv Sevelowitz) and Kenneth (Bethany Pray), her grandchildren Adam (Katie), Stacey and Emily, and her great-grandchildren Grace and Lucie.
Services will be held at Yorktown Funeral Home, 945 E. Main St. in Shrub Oak, NY on December 5, 2013 at 11:00 and will be followed by burial at King David Cemetery in Putnam Valley, NY.
