Formisano, Sr., Mario

Mario Formisano, Sr., a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on September 22, 2011.

He was 79.

Mario was born on February 27, 1933 in the Bronx to the late Anthony and Maria Formisano. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post 8. He worked for over 20 years at Joyce Beverages in New Rochelle.

He is survived by his wife the former Josephine LaGuidice whom he married on April 27, 1958; his three sons Mario Jr., Angelo and Steven and his wife Lisa; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a brother Anthony. He was predeceased by his daughter Jeannine Tesoro, his brothers Louis and Angelo and his sister Carmela Acocella.

Visiting Saturday and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Monday 9:30 am at Holy Name Church. Interment will be private. www.Lloydmaxcy.com

This man was one of the most loving caring and gentel man I have ever had the pleasure of Knowing and Calling My Father In Law No one was luckier . I will miss you more than any words can express.
