Hoblin Jr., Philip J.

Philip J. Hoblin Jr., of Suffern, NY passed away peacefully at his home in New City, NY on Jan. 15, 2013 at the age of 83. He was born on July 31, 1929 to the late Philip and Mary Hoblin. He is survived by his bride, Eileen Hoblin and his three children, Philip, Monica, and Michael. He is also the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren, Michael Jr., Patrick, Catherine, Arianna, Sarah, Alana, and Veronica. He served his country during the Korean War and retired from the United States Air Force Reserves after 30 years of service and retired as a colonel. He earned his Bachelor Degree and Law Degree from Fordham University. He was a former Trustee of Suffern, the General Counsel for Shearson Lehman Hutton, and was a recipient of the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award. His accomplishments were many but he will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and a man of integrity, compassion, and moral courage. Wake will be held at Scarr Funeral Home in Suffern, NY on Sunday, Jan. 20th (2-4PM and 7-9PM). Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern, NY at 10:00 AM on Monday Jan. 21st followed with military honors.
