Rosemarie Lockwood, 84, entered into eternal rest surrounded by family, on July 6, 2013. A lifelong resident of Harrison, she was born to Michael and Domenica Briotte on Sept. 4, 1928. Rosemarie was the beloved wife of the late Herbert and loving mother to Bob (Cindy), Susan (Danny), Herb (Doreen), Joe (Teresa), Gary (Alexis), and Bill (Francine). She was the adored grandmother of Bobby, Erin, Daniel, Peter, Joseph, Tara, Madalline, Jack, Sophia, and Ella. Dear sister to Nancy and Richard as well as the late Angie, Joseph, Margaret, Frank, Robert, Tony, John, and Michael.
Devoted matriarch to her large extended family, Rose will be remembered with great love and affection for her patience, courage, sense of humor, and delicious cooking. Working for the Harrison School district for 30 years, Rosemarie shared her love of reading as a librarian and retired at 79. Donations may be made to the Dickstein Cancer Treatment Center in White Plains, N.Y., where they lovingly cared for Rose over the past 5 years. The Lockwood family will be receiving friends on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Home. Funeral to be held Wednesday.
