D'Ottavio, Yolanda (Lonie)

Yolanda (Lonie) D'Ottavio, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday February 3, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was 84. Lonie, as she was fondly known, was born on September 27, 1929, in Harrison, NY to Carmelo and Provvidenza Reale. She attended Harrison Schools. On June 4, 1955, she married the love of her life, Ralph D'Ottavio, at St. Gregory's The Great Church in Harrison. They settled in Port Chester. Lonie was a seamstress and worked at Stretchini Clothing Factory and Kaychester Dress Factory. Later on she went to work at Greenwich Country Day School. She is survived by her son Ralph A. (Gloria) and daughter, Bernadette Miloro, cherished grandchildren Andrew, Stephen and Kristen Miloro, and two brothers Anthony and Salvatore Reale and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Ralph, who passed away in 2010, sisters Anna, Carmela (Millie), Marie and Silvia; her twin brother Ernest (MIA-Korea), John and Daniel. Lonie will always be remembered for her love of the New York Yankees and Green Bay Packers. Family was always most important to her especially her three grandchildren. Visitation will be today Tuesday February 4, 2014 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Funeral mass will be 9:30am on Wednesday February 5, 2014 at Corpus Christi Church 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Internment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetary, Rye, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Port Chester/Rye/Rye Brook Volunteer Ambulance Corp, 417 Ellendale Avenue, Port Chester, NY 10573 or Hospice & Palliative Care of Westchester, 311 North Street, Suite 204, White Plains, NY 10605.
