Santo Lagana, 85, a resident of Port Chester died February 5, 2014. He was born March 16, 1928 in Scilla, Reggio Calabria, Italy to the late Pasquale and Marianna Nicolo Lagana. He was raised in Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1966 and settled in Port Chester. Mr. Lagana was married to Teresa Turletto on June 8, 1958 in Torino, Italy. He was a shoemaker and owned and operated Santo Shoe Repair in Bronxville until 1992. He was a parishioner of the Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester. He was an exceptional husband, father and grandfather to his family and would lend a helping hand anytime to his friends and family. Mr. Lagana is survived by his devoted wife Teresa Lagana and dear son Anthony Lagana and his wife Rosa, brothers Domenico Lagana and wife Rosa and Anthony Lagana and wife Maria, sister Maria Pirrotta and husband Rocco all of Port Chester, grandchildren, Santo Lagana and wife Melissa, Cristina Hodder and husband Derek and Cassandra Lagana and great granddaughter Alexia Lagana, sister in law Mariuccia Turletto of Italy and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Rocco Lagana and his wife Palmina and brother in law Cesare Turletto. Visitation will be 5-9PM today Friday February 7, 2014 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30AM on Saturday February 8, 2014 at Corpus Christi Church 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Entombment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY.
