Amorello, Chester J.

Chester J. Amorello, a Larchmont resident and former longtime New Rochelle resident, died on August 12, 2014. He was 93.

Chester was born on February 28, 1921 in New Rochelle, to the late Frank and Serafina (Scaduto) Amorello. Chester served in Army during WWII. He was part of the Normandy invasion having landed on Omaha Beach and served in the European and African Theaters. He was a Custom Carpenter by trade for many years.

He is survived by his wife the former Catherine Comerford whom he married on July 5, 2002; his children Donna (Charles) Borrelli, Carol Amorello and Joseph (Robin) Amorello; his 5 grandchildren, Michael, Timothy, Danielle, Brett and Sara; his 5 great-grandchildren, Jason, Justin, Kayla, Hannah and Marc and his sister Gussie Buccione. He was predeceased by his first wife Millie Possidente Amorello, who died in 1971 and his 2 brothers Joseph and Henry.

Visiting hours will be Friday 4-8pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc. 16 Shea Pl. New Rochelle, NY. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday 10:00 am at St. Augustine Church, Larchmont, NY. Interment will follow at Beechwoods Cemetery.
