A lifelong resident of Piermont, Betty graduated as her class salutatorian from Piermont's Tappan Zee High School in 1943. Betty was a very supportive parishioner of St. John's, and was a member of its chapter of the Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a member of Piermont's Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies' Auxiliary, the Wednesday Evening Sewing Club, the Piermont Senior Citizens' Club, and the Norwood Line Dancing Club. For many years, she served the community as an ambulance dispatcher for Piermont's Empire Hose Company #1, as a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, and as an elementary school room-mother. Bud predeceased Betty on November 9, 2011. Betty is survived by her sister, Anne W. diFrancesca; her son, Thomas J. Sedlack, III; her daughter, Patricia E. McKillop; her three grandchildren, Sarah A.
