ADELLA F. DELANEY

Adella F. Delaney of Carmel, NY died on October 29, 2003 at Somers Manor Nursing Home. She was 90 years old. Mrs. Delaney was an elementary school teacher in Somers, NY and retired in 1975. Mrs. Delaney was born March 6, 1913 in Brookfield, VT to Harvey Guy and Margaret Kelly Fletcher. She graduated in 1961 from West Conn with a Bachelor's of Science degree. On October 12, 1934, she married Truman S. Delaney, Jr. in New Hampshire. Locally she was a member of Somers Faculty Association and was a volunteer at the Drew Methodist Thrift Shop. She is survived by her three children Douglas, Kathleen Travaglini and Stephen; her sister Dorothy Willard; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Family members who died earlier include her husband Truman. Calling hours are Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Cargain Funeral Homes, Inc., 10 Fowler Avenue, Carmel, NY 10512 (845) 225-3672.
