Pauline McKernan, age 95, passed away at home with her family by her side on November 5, 2011. She was born September 15, 1916, the daughter of the late Gordon and Pauline Spark in Sparkill, NY. For the past 13 years she lived with her son in Monsey, prior to that she lived in Spring Hill, Fla for 20 years. Pauline was the Secretary to the principal at the old Piermont H.S and was the first secretary to the principal at the new Tappan Zee H.S and retired after 39 years. Pauline and her husband Peter moved to Spring Hill Florida after they retired. She lived in Rockland County all her life except for the 20 years she lived in Florida. She enjoyed working in her rose garden and spending time with her grandchildren

Loving wife of the late Peter R Mckernan. She survived by her daughter Gail Hennessy and son Robert "Bob" McKernan. Devoted grandchildren Michael Rotundo, Jill Anson, Mark Rotundo, Tim Rotundo, Janine McCormick, Colin McKernan, Cassandra McKernan. Cherished great grand children Sheila Scarpinato, Maureen Anson, Julie Anson , Kevin Anson Sara Rotundo, Jake Rotundo. Also survived by two great great grand children and nieces and nephews. Pauline is predeceased by her husband Peter, her Daughter Arlene Rotundo, her sister Dorothy Hogan, and son in law Edmund Hennessy.

Visitation Hours 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at the Moritz Funeral Home, Tappan, NY. Mass of christian Burial will be held 10 AM on Wednesday, November 9 , 2011, at St. John's the Baptist Church, Piermont, NY. Interment will follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY.
