James O'Toole Obituary
James "Jim" O'Toole, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died on September 23, 2012. He was 78.
James was born on February 10, 1934 in New Rochelle to the late Francis and Margaret (Collins) O'Toole.
Jim was sports reporter for 47 years for "The Standard Star" and The Journal News and was inducted into the New Rochelle Sports Hall of Fame in 1994. He was a Bartender at Spectators for 25 years. He was an Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife the former Mary Cooper whom he married on January 7, 1961; his 3sons, Matthew, Lawrence and James O'Toole; his three grandchildren, William, Natalie, and Cooper. He was predeceased by his three brothers, P.J., Frank and Jack.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday EVENING 7-9pm and Thursday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc. 16 Shea Pl. New Rochelle, NY. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday 10:30AM at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to "Butterflies from Jodie", the Jodie Torigian Charitable Fund, 31 President Street New Rochelle, NY 10801.
