Mollman, Sister Ann Paul

Sister Ann Paul Mollman, OP, of Dominican Convent, Sparkill, New York, died on March 2, 2013 in Siena Hall, Sparkill, NY. Born in St. Louis, MO on September 8, 1924, Mary Ann was the daughter of Paul and Gertrude Mollman. She entered the Dominican congregation of Our Lady of the Rosary in Sparkill on September 8, 1942 and became known as Sister Ann Paul, professing her first vows in 1944 and her final vows in 1949. Sister Ann Paul earned a BA in French from Webster College, MO; and an MS in Education and Mathematics from Fordham University, NY.

Sister Ann Paul was en elementary and high school teacher for fifty-three years. She taught in the Archdiocese of New York and the Dioceses of Brooklyn, NY, St. Louis and Jefferson County, MO. She was a teacher at St. Brendan, Bronx, NY (1944-45); St. Helena, Bronx, NY (1945-48); in Missouri at St. James (1948-51), St. Mark (1953-56); Holy Redeemer (1956-59); Holy Rosary HS (1959-61) and St. Dominic HS (1961-64); Cathedral HS, new York, NY (1964-70); Rosary Academy, Sparkill, NY (1970-77); St. Edmund HS, Brooklyn, NY (1977-78); and professor at St. Thomas Aquinas Collage, Sparkill, NY (1978-97). From 1997-2005, she offered local community service at Dominican Convent and became a resident in Siena Hall in 2005.

Sister Ann Paul is predeceased by her brother, Paul Mollman and is survived by her sister, Mary Gert Vonderhaar of Princeton, NJ; her sister-in-law, Linda Mollman of Des Moines, IA and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and great-grandnephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel, Sparkill, NY on Thursday March 7, 2013 at 10:30am. Visitation is on Wednesday March 6, 2013 from 3:30 to 8:00pm at Dominican Convent, 175 Rte. 340, Sparkill, NY. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. Arrangements are by Michael J.
