Thomas J. McCormack of White Plains, NY died on March 20,2013 at his home.He was 86 years old.

Born in Manhattan, NY on October 16,1926, he was the son of Beatrice (nee Mahon) and Michael McCormack .

Tom graduated from St. Gregory the Great grammar school and Power Memorial High School ( class of 1943). He was drafted into the Army during WWII serving in the13th Engineer Combat Construction Battalion, 7th Infantry Division, tank Corp in Korea Tom attained the rank of Sgt 1st class.

In 1949, Tom graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering. He received a master's degree from NYU in Civil Engineering. During the 1960's , he and partner Bill Morse formed Morse-McCormack, Inc. in Port Chester , NY serving as manufacturer representatives for environmental equipment. Tom was a Life Member of American Society of Civil Engineers, The Water Environmental Federation and member of the National Association of Professional Engineers and American Water Works.

Tom was a founding member of the Church of St. Pius X in Scarsdale, NY. Tom was a past president of the Men's and Dad's Clubs.

Tom married Eileen ( nee Soye) on May 26,1951 in Brooklyn, NY . They settled in White Plains in 1956 and raised their family.Tom and Eileen enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. He was a huge University of Michigan and New York Giants fan.

Tom was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

Tom was predeceased by his parents and brother Vincent. He is survived by his wife Eileen, children Michael ( Mary) Maynard, MA, Melissa ( John) Tewksbury, NJ, Thomas( Mariana) White Plains, NY, David ( Nora) Scituate, MA and grandchildren,Liam, Jack, Max, Lauren, James, Kate, Michael, Taylor and Halle.

Visiting hours will be on Fri. 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass Sat 11:00 AM ST. Pius X Church. Interment Mt Calvary Cemetery.
