Joseph Cahill Obituary
Joseph Cahill of Boulder Colorado died tragically on April 28th in New Orleans. Joe was born to George and Regina Cahill and grew up in Yorktown Heights, N.Y. He moved to Colorado in 1995 after graduating from SUNY Oswego and worked in the music industry as a well-respected lighting designer. Joe is survived by his mother Regina Cahill; his 16-year-old daughter Cassidy and her mother Andrea Rossin; his sisters Pat McCullough, Anne Johansen, and Regina Garrant and their spouses; his brothers Ken Cahill and Kevin Cahill and their spouses; as well as beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father George Cahill. Joe had a love of life, a passion for music, a terrific sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his large, close-knit family and his many wonderful friends. Joe was a free-spirited loving and generous soul who will be missed dearly by all.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 10th at 11:30 a.m. at the old stone church of Saint Patrick's located at 188 Church Place, Yorktown Hts., NY 10598. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Joe Cahill Memorial Music Award Fund c/o Wells Fargo 1937 Commerce St. Yorktown Heights, N.Y. 10598.

To the Cahiil's: so very sorry and shocked to hear about Joe. I knew Joe a little in Oswego and re-conected in CO. It was always a great time when he came to DC and we got to work together..will really miss those days. Our "music family" will keep your lights shining. I will miss hearing you sing and watching you play guitar as you often did at so many "freakin family functions", bringing wide smiles to the faces of all who were listening.
