Masullo, James J.

James Masullo of Ossining died on June 7, 2013, he was 88. He was born March 15, 1925 in Ossining to Pellegrino & Rose Petrone Masullo. Jimmy was a SSgt. in the Army during WWII in the South Pacific where he received a Bronze star. He worked as a Pipe Fitter for NYCRR in Harmon for 42 years. Jimmy was a member of the American Legion Post 506, the It Lo club and Tarrytown Leisure Club. He volunteered at the VA Hospital; helped with the Columbus Lodge, Elk's Lodge, 52 Association and other organizations. Jimmy was pre-deceased by his brothers Tony (Tommy Mercer), Bill, Joe, Al and sister Viola Planamenta. He is survived by his wife Valeria and many nieces & nephews. He will be reposing Mon. 4-8pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State St. Ossining. Mass of Christian Burial Tues. 9:30am at St. Ann's Church, burial St. Augustine's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society appreciated.
