Adamo, Jr., Frank A.
Frank A. Adamo, Jr., 77, of Pound Ridge, NY formerly of Yonkers, NY died Friday, June 28, 2013 at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, NY. He was a US Army veteran. He was a graduate of NYU and received his Masters Degree from Columbia University. He was very active in the Republican Party. Frank was a former 9th Ward Councilman and former Vice-Mayor for the City of Yonkers. He was also the former Chairman of the Yonkers Republican City Committee. He retired after 37 years as an educator having taught High School History, and then as a school Administrator. He was an entrepreneur and also ran a catering business for 27 years.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife: Sharon (Bell) Adamo whom he married in 1997. He is the loving father of Laura Mahoney (John) of Brookfield, CT. He is predeceased by his son; Frank A. Adamo III "Tre" and he is the devoted grandfather of JJ, Cooper and Brenna. He is also survived by his sister: Barbara "Brook" Giordano of Mahopac, NY.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 1 from 2:00 to 8:00pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 2 at St. Timothy's Chapel, 1034 North Street, Greenwich, CT. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum in Hartsdale. Memorial contributions may be made to any Veterans organization.
