Hedy Blum Obituary
Hedy Blum of Spring Valley, NY passed away Friday September 6th 2013 at age 103, following complications after heart failure at Nyack Hospital. She was born in Cologne, Germany to the late Moses and Rosa Cahn. Hedy is a life-long member of Hadassah and Temple Sisterhood, and was a longtime member of Temple B'Nai Darom in Silver Springs, FL. Hedy is survived by her cherished son Alan (wife Louise) Blum, loving nieces Carol Teicker of Huntington Station, NY, Linda Pride-Kimber (husband Nigel) of Manchester, England, nephews Mel (wife Joanne) Wolff of Danbury, CT, Gary (wife Janice) Blum of Rockville, MD, Stewart (wife Ellen) Linz of Osbrey, FL, adoring great-nieces and nephews Jonathan and Scott (wife Maddie) Teicker, Jennifer Kimber, and Kerri and Aaron Blum and a great-great-nephew Max, and many other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Louis Blum in 1986. Funeral services to be held Sunday 1:30PM at Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State Street, Spring Valley, NY 10977. 845-356-8600. Interment to take place in Florida at Temple B'Nai Darom Cemetery in Silver Springs, Fl. Memorial contributions in Hedy's memory may be made to Temple B'Nai Darom at 49 Banyan Course, Ocala, Florida 34472.
