Warnock, S. Howard

S. Howard Warnock 70 - passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013 after being diagnosed in June with heart disease. Hospitalized and awaiting possible donor transplant He remained in good spirits, A true fighter until his final days. Born on March 26, 1943 to William and Adele Warnock of Irvington. He will be remembered as a caring, generous, understanding and kind hearted person That will be forever loved, in the many hearts left behind- Life long resident and graduate of Irvington high school. Howard attended University of Pittsburgh, where He met his wife of 46 years Sunday Tringhese which he married in 1967. Howard was the Vice-President of Cartier in New York, NY until he retired in 2008.

He is survived by his loving wife Sunday Warnock of Irvington, Son Marc Warnock of Irvington, Daughter Amy N Warnock of Irvington and his Grandchildren. Sister Florence Dougherty and children: John, Jeanne & William, Along with the friends of his children through the years that he's always made feel at home and treated like his own.

Funeral Service 10:30am Monday Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. Visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make donations to Gentle Giants Rescue or St. Joseph's Indian School.

I worked with Howard at Cartier from 1978-1988, I was the AVP, Director of Human Resources . He was always kind and generous to everyone in spite of the pressure of the business. So sorry I didn´t know of his passing.

Howard was a very special man in many ways. I was privilaged to know him and work with him, and I am a better person for it.
I send my sympathy to you Sunday, Marc and Amy in hopes that loving memories will soon replace the pain and sadness that you surely feel today. May his character and his nature be a shining example to all of you for the remainder of your days.
Howard, rest in peace my friend. It was a long journey home.

A true Gentle Giant of a man. One of the very few pillar of men that build the Cartier business in the USA into what it is today.

I first meet Howard in Boston when we opened the Boutique. I went to install the computer systems. I walked up to the second floor where all the jewelry was being delivered. I knocked on the door and this monster of a man opened it with two armed guards with shotguns and a cigarette in his hand asking "Who are you"

From then on every time we saw each other he would say do you remember that day in Boston. I will remember sitting in his office talking with him about his horses while he smoked a cigarette, or seeing him driving that big old Jeep Wagon!!

Rest in Peace Howard I'm glad I got to work with you and know you.
