Joel Hurtado Obituary
Joel was born in Los Angeles, CA on November 10, 1963 and has resided in Lompoc since 1997. He passed from this earth peacefully after a lengthy illness into eternity on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the age of 46.
Joel is survived by his wife of 27 years Tina Hurtado; daughter Desirae Zowal and her husband Robert "Bear" Zowal; sons Joel Hurtado III and Daniel Hurtado; and his grandchildren Roxanne and Presley Zowal. Also, in addition, Joel is survived by his mother Herminia Hurtado; sister Norma Almanza; brother Richard Hurtado and their families. Also, his beloved fur buddy Bella.
Joel is preceded in death by his father Joel Hurtado Sr, and mother-in-law Genevieve Joseph.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. A private ceremony will be held on Friday, October 8 at 10:00am by Pastor Chuck Musselwhite of the Village Chapel and Pastor Bill Kissee of Trinity Nazarene Church.
Joel enjoyed fishing, camping, Raiders football, Dodgers baseball, family gatherings and golf.
In lieu of flowers Joel's family suggests memorial donations be made to the Lompoc Artifical Kidney Center, 127 W. Pine Ave.
