Pauline Grossini Obituary

Pauline Mae Grossini
Pauline Mae Grossini, 77, went to rest on October 4th 2010, surrounded by her children. Although she had a short battle, she fought through every breath.
She was born in Arroyo Grande in 1933 to William and Goldie Quaresma. She married Charles L. Grossini and moved to Lompoc in 1951.
Pauline was a beautiful, wise, charming, smart and a true lady who always had the ability to make light of any situation with her wonderful sense of humor. Her family was her life, she loved her family and her extended family. Her true passion was to help others, most would say she helped others more than she would help herself. She will truly be missed by many.
Pauline was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles L. Grossini, who was taken from her too soon and her parents William Quaresma and Goldie B. Quaresma, both of Arroyo Grande.
Pauline is survived by her son John Grossini, daughters Sharon Townsend (Jim), Karen Grossini, and Charlene Paniaqua as well as six grandchildren, Christopher Petersen, Chelsea Petersen, Jason Tosti, Jamie Townsend, Joshua Townsend, and Heidi Paniaqua, brother William Quaresma of Idaho and Aunt Elsie Reis of Arroyo Grande. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews that have always been in her heart.
The visitation will be Friday, October 8, from 4 to 8 pm and the memorial service will be held Saturday October 9, at 9 am at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary (123 N. "A" St. in Lompoc) followed by graveside services at the Lompoc Cemetery. There will be a celebration of life at Patti Grossini Signorelli's home following the graveside services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Pauline's memory can be made to The American Lung Association.

My deepest sympathy for the loss of your mom, grandma, aunt, friend. And for the many, many other people who also feel a deep loss. There isn't a need to say how incredible and sweet of a lady Pauline was, or how many lives she touched. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her! My heart goes out to you.

Our most heartfelt sympathy to all of your family.Your Mom was my mom's caregiver for 2 years. She was wonderful!! She was always cheerful & worked very hard to keep my Mom moving forward. She was also a wonderful cook!!I was there for many wonderful meals. I missed her when she left as did my Mom. They spoke fairly recently and my Mom is grateful for that.Bless all of you and know you & your Mom are in our prayers.
