Robert Borowski Obituary

CMSGT Robert Anthony
Borowski

It is with immeasurable sadness his family announces that CMSGT Robert Anthony Borowski, 77, died September 14th, 2010.
Bob was born January 28th, 1933 in Hudson, Pennsylvania. He joined the Air Force at 17, married the love of his life at 21, and proceeded to rise through the ranks of the Air Force while building his family and completing college and two Master's Degrees along the way. Robert retired at 39 as a Chief Master Sergeant while stationed at VAFB, and subsequently worked as a supervisor for Martin Marietta on the Titan Missile and Space Shuttle programs. Robert was a charter member of the American Legion: Post 125, and a fourth Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus. Among his many accomplishments, perhaps the proudest was the 56 year wedding anniversary he celebrated in July with his devoted wife and children.
He is survived by his wife Joan; children Kathleen Ostler, Robert E. Borowski and Kristie B. Kershaw; sons-in-law, Scott Ostler and Nathan Kershaw; daughter-in-law Suzie P. Borowski; grandchildren Michael and Gabriel Ostler; his brother Stanley and his sister Josephine.
Bob was a loving, honorable man of deep kindness, quick wit, and true character. He was a devoted husband, a dedicated father, an inspiring leader, a faithful parishoner, a true friend, a great man. Always ready with a smile for everyone he met, he will be dearly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
The friends of CMSGT Robert Anthony Borowski are invited to join his wife and family this week to celebrate his life, and share this loss.
The recitation of the Holy Rosary will be on Tuesday, September 21, at 7 pm at Queen of Angels Catholic Church. The mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, 10 am at the church. The interment will be in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. There will be a gathering for friends and family afterwards at Queen of Angels parish hall.
In lieu of flowers, the Borowskis would appreciate donations be made to his favorite charities:
St. Anne's Maternity Home: stannes.org
Catholic Charities: catholiccharities.org
Disabled American Veterans: dav.org
