NEWTON, WILMA G., 80, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on the morning of April 21, 2013 with her loving family by her side. She was the former Wilma Gidcumb and a native of Ohio County, KY . She was the former owner of the Village Florist in Jeffersontown, owner-broker of WGN Realtors, and a 1975 graduate of the U K. School of Nursing. Wilma also was a member of the Louisville Board of Realtors, the KY Real Estate Commission, and the KY Institute of Realtors. She was an admirer and student of Abraham Lincoln and strongly pursued additional college credit hours. She was strong in her Christian faith, and her happy smile will be remembered by all as she never met a stranger. Wilma was a loving and faithful wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Albert J. "Al" Newton; children, Brenda C. Turner, Michael S. "Mike" (Debra) Davis, M.D. , Deborah Davis (Larry) Magnes; her very special granddaughter and care giver, Stacie J. (Charlie) Smith, all of Louisville. grandchildren, Jason Turner of Louisville, Lauren and Andrea Davis of Cold Spring KY. and Kathryne Davis; six great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren. She was fondly referred to as "Nana" by all who knew who her.
A Life Celebration will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and after noon on Thursday at the funeral home.

Sorry for the huge loss of Wilma. She was a sweetheart and I'm sure will be missed. I'm so glad her family was there on this side to say goodbye and the family on the other side to say hello.
