SHAW, PHILIP R., 76, of Okolona, returned to his Heavenly Father on July 17, 2013.
Mr. Shaw was born in Henry County and retired from General Electric after 34 years of service. Mr. Shaw was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Eminence Baptist Church.
Among those that preceded him in death include his parents, James T. Shaw and Edith Mae Flowers; and step-father, Paul Rochner, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 53 years, Alice F. Shaw; son, William Anthony "Tony" Shaw; granddaughter, Danyelle Adams (Jason); great-granddaughter, Delayna Adams; brother, Paul Rochner (Eunice); step-mother, Anna Mae Shaw; and many cousins, family and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in New Castle Cemetery in New Castle, KY. Friends may pay their respects on Saturday from 1-8 p.m. at Schoppenhorst.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Kosair Children's Hospital.
