I had the great good fortune to work with Harry and Jack when I worked at Brecher's Lighting. There was simply no nicer man than Harry Brown. I looked forward to his visits to the store because I knew I was bound to learn something from him about the business he worked at for so many years. He was a fount of knowledge and shared willingly. My son needed a job, thought he'd like to be an electrician. Harry & Jack hired him--in January, I believe--and put him in a hole to dig a trough for wiring. Patrick lasted about 3 days before he quit, sputtering that he didn't know electricians had to get dirty and cold!! Good life lesson for him. Thank you, Harry. Patrick beat you to heaven (2010) so look for him. I know he'll have a big smile and a hug for you!

As a pool contractor. I remember fondly the partnership of Harry and Jack Petty. What a wonderful pair they were! I lived in Anchorage then.

My heart aches with the passing of my dear "Atwood". I have never known a kinder, gentler, more giving man. I am blessed to have been a part of Jean, Harry and Greg's lives. My most precious memories are of those summers spent with them in LaGrange. I know that this most wonderful man is now with the love of his life. Greg, I love you and my prayers are with you.
