BRANDENBURG - Pack, William Sanford "Bill," 77, of the Weldon Community of Brandenburg, passed away Friday, April 18, 2014 at 7:14 PM at Baptist Health, Louisville. Mr. Pack was born July 24, 1936 in Meade County, KY, the son of Oliver Columbus and Sylvia Bell Thomas Pack. He was a member of Harrison Lodge #122 F.&A.M. for over 49 years and a member of the Bullitt County Shrine Club. He retired from Louisville Gas and Electric on January 1, 1994 as a master carpenter. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, bowler and gardener and loved spending time with his family and friends. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Georgia Rose Pack Riechers and Thelma Lee Pack Whelan and one brother, Oliver Earl Pack Sr. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janice Marie Benham Pack, five children, William Kent (Lisa) Pack, Flaherty, KY, Janet Leigh (Jack) Aubrey, Shelbyville, KY, Robert Earl (Beth) Pack, Doe Valley, KY, Sylvia Darlene (Randy) Magallon, Simpsonville, KY and Rita Carol (Jeffrey) Berry, Brandenburg; and nine grandchildren, Chris Pack, Brittney Pack, Megan Magallon, Justin Pack, Morgan Pack, Shane Aubrey, Ryan Pack, A.J. Magallon and Tessa McIntosh. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday from Bethel United Methodist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at Hager Funeral Home. Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. PARTLOW, KATHLEEN, 62, of Louisville, died April 24, 2014. Kathleen was born in New York on August 30, 1951, and raised in Louisville. She is survived by her husband, J. Barry Barker; her daughters, Mia Partlow (Michael Hoerger) and Rachel Barker; sister, Maria Partlow (John Hines); and grandson, Aiden Duffy. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kathleen T. Partlow and George L. Partlow; and her son, Christopher Partlow Duffy. Kathleen is a graduate of Louisville Collegiate School and University of Louisville, where she studied Russian and world history. She began her career in broadcast as a reporter and anchor for WAVE TV, and later served as press secretary for Mayor Jerry Abramson before joining Doe Anderson, becoming senior vice president for public affairs. She retired from her career as senior vice president for public affairs at New West, LLC. Kathleen was an avid gardener, horseback rider, and reader. She loved Corgis, including her dogs Jake and CJ. Kathleen always looked forward to her annual trip to Wyoming, riding horseback in the Grand Tetons with her husband. She will be deeply, truly, missed and all who knew her will hold their memories of her dear. A celebration of Kathleen's life will take place at Whitehall, 3110 Lexington Road, from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
