Taylor Sr., 6 children Jesse Jr., Bobby, Roy, Claude and Avis Taylor and Tammy Taylor Cantrell, 9 siblings Beulah Shivers, Bettie Collins, Joyce Moore, Rose Mary Price, Garfield, Donna, Larry, Morris and Keith Sewell, 21 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral 11 a.m. Monday at G. C. Williams, burial Green Meadows Cemetery, visitation 6-9 p.m. Sunday.

Wahl, Robert A.  
Wahl, Robert A., 88, of Louisville, passed away peacefully during his sleep on Thursday, April 28, 2016. He was born on May 11, 1927 in Porter, IN and resided at his family homestead most of his life. He will be remembered for his clever intentions and gifts of humor, integrity, strong work ethic and inspiring stories. He joined the Army at a young age and served his country in WWII as a member of the military police in Paris. He worked as a metallurgist at US Steel in Gary, IN for 45 years until retirement. His biggest joy in life was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Mildred Wahl. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Donna; his daughters, Debbie Baldwin (Bruce), of Carmel, IN and Carol Flynn (Craig), of Buffalo, NY; step-daughters, Kathy Gahm, of Louisville and Christy Zorn (Nick), of Brandon, FL; grandchildren, Matthew, Nathan, and Jacob Baldwin, Daniel (Kayla), Adam, Meghan and Kaitlin Flynn, Amy, Nicklaus, Chelsey, Evan and Amber Gahm, Ryan and Cole Zorn; brother, Jim (Fran) Wahl and Holly Hinkle, both of Phoenix, AZ. His funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until time of service Sunday at Highlands. After cremation his ashes will be scattered at his family homestead in Porter, IN. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Nativity Academy, 529 E. Liberty St, Louisville, KY, 40202.

Wohner, Ruth Ann  
Wohner, Ruth Ann, 74, passed away April 28, 2016. She retired after 42 years from the American Printing House for the Blind and enjoyed gardening, especially tomatoes and flowers. Ruth enjoyed playing computer games and loved the yearly trips to Ormond Beach, Florida with her husband. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Rosie Lush; and several siblings. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 50 years, David Wohner; daughter, Theresa Frank; grandson, Bryan Eubank; siblings, Irvin Lush, Richard Lush (Pat) and Rita Rouse (Kenny); and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 2 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home Dignity Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-8 pm and Monday from 10 am until the time of service, at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Bird, Richard H., 80, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016. He was a retired tool and die technician for Porcelain Metals Corp. and an Air Force veteran. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene E. Bird; his parents, Charles F. Bird and Mary Lee Duvall Bird; and a brother, Bobby Bird. Survivors include his children, Richard C. Bird, Jr. (Beth), Debra Hodgkins (Tim), and David Bird; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jennie Bird; and a nephew, Steve Bird. His funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, with visitation from 12 until the time of the funeral Sunday. Burial will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central with a committal service at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial gifts may be made to Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central.
