Aldridge, Leona, 68, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014. She was the former Leona Ball, a certified nurse's aid for Treyton Oak Towers and a Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her mother Rosa Kelly, father Jack Thomas Ball, sister Loretta King, brothers Lorne and Donnie Ball and daughter in law Carol Sue Nall. Survivors include her husband Charles F. Aldridge, sons James R. Nall (Fieame) and Dannie King, mother Nannie Ball, brothers Arthur and Ellis Kelly, Larry, Lonnie, Lawrence, Arthur, Roger, Phillip and Leslie Ball, sisters Ruth Garrett, Lisa Guffey and Teresa Ball, three grandchildren James and Matthew Nall and Adric Latta and a host of other family. Funeral service 11 AM Saturday, December 27, 2014, Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd, with burial at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation 2 to 8 PM Friday.

Baird, Marlyn Kelly  
Taylorsville Baird, Marlyn Kelly, age 90 of Taylorsville Kentucky, passed away December 23, 2014 at Baptist Healthcare of Louisville Ky. Born the son of the late Kelly & Susan Mildred Johnson Baird in Spencer County Kentucky. He was a retired Dairy Farmer, member of Spencer County Farm Bureau, a Taylorsville VFW Post #11426 Member, an Army Veteran of World War II were he served as a Paratrooper in Japan. He attended the Fisherville Church of Christ and served on the Board of Directors for The Peoples Bank, Taylorsville for 22 years. He is survived by his wife, Rena Pollett Baird of Taylorsville, his daughter Linda Morrow (Tim) of Taylorsville, his son Bland Baird ( Sherry) of Taylorsville. One brother John Baird (Phyllis) of Taylorsville, 5 Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild also survive. Visitation for Mr. Marlyn Kelly Baird, December 26, 2014 3-8 p.m. and December 27,2014 for 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 12 noon at the Greenwell-Houghlin Chapel. Funeral Services Officiated by Brother Tim Morrow and Brother Joe Stone. Interment Valley Cemetery, Taylorsville Kentucky. The family request Memorial Contributions be made to the Portland Christian School, Louisville Kentucky. Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Brady, Walter J. "Bud"  
Brady, Walter J. "Bud", 87, of Louisville, passed away on December 23, 2014, just 23 days shy of his 88th birthday. Bud served proudly in WWII in the U.S. Navy. He served on the USS Hermitage (AP54), and received many ribbons including the American Aria Ribbon, Victory Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Ribbon, and Asiatic Pacific Ribbon. He was a proud member of the Teamsters Union Local 89, serving as Union Steward for many years. He also served as an Elected Representative to the Teamsters at the National Convention. He was a Kentucky Colonel, member of the American Legion and Boys Town, and was an avid UK Fan. Bud also got his GED at age 80. He is preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Raye Brady; his parents; his sister; and one grandchild. Bud is survived by his five children, Buddy Brady, Becky Raley (Alan), Karen Fisher, Mike Brady (Shellie), and Cindy Cahalan; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; also including Molly B. and her daughter, Thia. There will be a Celebration of Life at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Evergreen Funeral Home Dignity Chapel. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Saturday and from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be directed to Kosair Charities.
