Adams, Sister Alice  
Adams, Sister Alice, SCN, 90, a native of Louisville, died at Nazareth Home on Wednesday, February 25, 2014. She had been a Sister of Charity of Nazareth for 70 years. Sister served in elementary and secondary education, music, community service and parish ministry in Tennessee, Ohio, Kentucky and Massachusetts for 52 years. In Louisville Sister served in Family Ministry at 3337 Rose Blvd. from 1999-2001. Sister became a resident at Nazareth Home in September, 2014 where she served in the Apostolate of Prayer. Survivors include R.B. and Peg Adams, Sister's brother and his wife of Louisville. Barth Adams, Sister's nephew and her religious community. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Vincent Church, Nazareth, followed by burial in Nazareth Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. in St. Vincent Church, Nazareth, Ky. on Thursday, February 26, 2015. There will be a Prayer Service in St. Vincent Church at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Funeral arrangements area being handled by Ratterman Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY. Memorials may be made to Office of Congregational Advancement , P.O. Box 9, Nazareth, Ky. 40048.

Adams, Patricia Lane "Penny"  
Sellersburg Adams, Patricia "Penny" Lane, 63, of Sellersburg, IN passed away at her home surrounded by her family on February 24, 2015. Penny was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting and gardening. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Adams; sister, Susan Hawkins; niece, Leica Haire; great nieces, Lily and Anna Haire; stepchildren, Matthew Adams and Katie Carver; mother-in-law, Helen Adams; and three stepgrandchildren. Akridge, Ronald Wayne  
Akridge, Ronald Wayne, 68, of Shepherdsville, passed away peacefully at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA, on February 18, 2015 at 2:50 p.m. He was proceeded in death by his father, Walter Oliver Akridge. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Linda; sons, Mark (Crystal), Randy (Renee); daughter, Michelle Tomlinson (Eddie); and seven grandchildren, Erica, Cody, Olivia, Haileigh, Reece, Nicolas and Riley. He is survived also by parents, Luicille and Jimmy Scrogham; and brothers, Larry (Linda) and Donald (Becki) Scrogham; sisters, Janet (Tom) Miller and Carolyn (Richard) Spatz; and several nieces and nephews. Ronald was an Army veteran serving tours in Vietnam and later with the National Guard in Germany and in the Persian Gulf War. His passing leaves a void in his family's life that will be impossible to fill. Visitation at Hardy-Close Funeral home will be Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 12-8 p.m. and Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 2-8 p.m. Visitation will also be held Monday, February 23, 2015 from 9-11 a.m. with funeral services at Hardy-Close funeral home at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington.

Anderson, Richard Charles  
Anderson, Richard Charles, born December 26, 1921 in Chicago, IL, passed away peacefully on Saturday February 21, 2015 at his home in Louisville with his family by his side. A member of the "greatest generation," Dick served his country as a sergeant in the 66th Infantry Division of the Army, earning a Bronze Star during combat in Northern France during World War II. After retiring from a distinguished career with the Ford Motor Company, Dick embarked on a second career as the owner/operator of Alix Adams Modeling Agency and School. Over the course of the 33 years he ran the agency, his charismatic spirit and ever positive attitude touched the lives of many. Fluent in French, Dick was an avid reader, scholar, and music enthusiast. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather. He was a man of deep faith who loved life and led by example. His spirit will touch all who knew him for the rest of their lives. He was preceded in death by his college sweetheart and first wife, Lenny, his daughter, Debbie, and his brother, Bob. Remaining to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 20 years, Terry Wise Wells, his bonus sons, O'Malley Dreisbach (Christian) and Dalton Dreisbach (Julie), his four granddaughters- the great joys in his life, his most loved nephew, Jeff Anderson (Darlene) and niece, Marlene Joyce. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2015 at Second Presbyterian Church, 3701 Old Brownsboro Road, Louisville, KY 40207 with a luncheon and celebration of his life to follow. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Second Presbyterian Church Youth Choirs.
