Archie "A. J." Williams

NEW SALISBURY - Williams, Archie "A. J.," 88, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at his home in New Salisbury. He was born March 10, 1926 in Magnolia, IN, the son of late Archie and Nellie Dillman Williams.

He was a graduate of Indiana University with a Master of Science + 30 hours and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired math teacher of Greater Clark County Schools and a member of the Indiana Retired Teachers Association and he was a member of Mansfield Methodist Church of Leavenworth, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gerald and Warren "Bud" Williams; and a sister, June B. Williams Tower.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Levell Williams of New Salisbury, IN; and 12 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Webster Oglesby will officiate. Burial will be in El Bethel Cemetery near Milltown, IN. Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Corydon on Thursday from 3 -7 p.m. and after 9 a.m. on Friday.

The family suggests memorial gifts be made to either Hosparus of Southern Indiana or to Lincoln Hills Christian Church.
