Brown Lee "Brownie" Adams

ADAMS, BROWN LEE "BROWNIE," 78, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Baptist Hospital East, surrounded by family.

Born in Wallins Creek, KY, he was a retired supervisor for Philip Morris and a member of Southeast Christian Church where he also volunteered.

He is preceded in death by his wife, the former Julie DeVries; brothers, Darcie "Jody" Adams, George Adams, Ed Adams and Bill Adams; and sister, Sue Schumacher.

He is survived by his son, Guy Adams (Beth); daughters, Stacy Roof (Doug) and Kristen Frarey (Ken); a sister, Lucy Cornwell; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

His memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Highlands.
