Charles William Nugent II

NUGENT, CHARLES WILLIAM II, 89, of Louisville, passed away Friday November 22, 2013.

Born in Evansville, IN to the late Charles and Effie Bledsoe Nugent, Charles was a retired from Badgett Construction Company where he was a carpenter foreman and member of the local Carpenters Union # 64 and a member of St Joseph's Church.

Mr. Nugent served in the Army during World War II in the CBI Campaign (Burma) in the 303rd Infantry.

Charles is survived by his wife loving wife of 68 years, Mary Offutt Nugent, and his sons; Charles W. Nugent III, David E. Nugent, Stephen T. Nugent, and Richard A. Nugent, his grandchildren Marcia Littlefield, Chuck Nugent IV, Stephanie Nugent, Christopher Nugent, and Shelly Blevins, and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Nugent was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

A celebration of Charles' life will be 2 p.m. Tuesday November 26, 2013 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday November 25 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Hospital of Louisville or St. Josephs Catholic Church.
