The family is profoundly grateful for the enormous outpouring of love and respect for their beloved husband, father, and son. He will be missed every minute of every day.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Karen Kurfees Buchanan; his children, Donald Colby and Clair Elizabeth; parents Donald Beams and Elizabeth Davies Buchanan; and his grandmother, Elizabeth Ragsdale Davies.
