Donnie Drake Covington

COVINGTON, DONNIE DRAKE, 65, of Evansville, IN, died September 19, 2013 Donnie was born August 4, 1948 in Santa Monica, CA to the late Morris G. Covington and June Clifford Covington Biven.

Donnie served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. Donnie was employed as a park ranger. He loved learning about the history of the Civil War. To many he was known for his vast knowledge of that era. Due to this he enjoyed re-enacting the Civil War, even being selected to be an extra in the movie, "Glory." When Donnie had any spare time he would ride his motorcycle. He loved race cars. Donnie served his community through the Roe Fulkerson Masonic Lodge #299 in West Hollywood, FL.

Donnie leaves to mourn his passing his siblings, Jerry M. Covington of Miami, FL and John A. Covington (Lisa) of Hollywood, FL; his stepmother, Margie Covington of Miami; several cousins, aunt Jane Covington of Pendleton, KY and many, friends all of whom will dearly miss him. Donnie was preceded in death by his parents.
