BAISCH, FREDRICK "FREDDY," 86, of Louisville, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012.
Fred was born on February 4, 1926 in Louisville. He was retired from Rohm and Haas-Kentucky, where he was a maintenance mechanic. He was a decorated World War II U.S. Navy
veteran, a member of Amvets Post 1, a member of American Legion Post 200, and of several senior citizens organizations. He was a longtime member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church.
Fred was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Matilda "Tillie" (Frank) Baisch; his parents, Fredrick and Hattie Bell Baisch; and his sisters, Laverne Rueve and Marian Fisher.
He is survived by his loving children, Vivian (Ross) Diehl, Fred (Mary T.), Tim "Chuck" (Peggy), Larry (Karen) and Joe (Monica) Baisch; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and his longtime, loving friend and very special companion, Rose Russo.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2012 at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison Avenue at Barret Avenue. His funeral Mass will be noon on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 639 S. Shelby St., with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
