George William Moore

MOORE, GEORGE WILLIAM, 61, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013 while at Norton Suburban Hospital.

Born December 17, 1951 in Danville, KY to the late Joseph Raymond and Edna Frances Gooch Moore. He is a graduate of Boyle Co. High School, Berea College and UK College of Law.

George William was a very respected and accomplished man in his community; being an Assistant County Attorney in Jefferson county, former Commonwealth Attorney for the 21st Judicial District of Kentucky, past Kentucky Commonwealth Attorney of the Year, and Commissioned Lay Pastor at Mt. Horeb Presbyterian Church in the Transylvania Presbytery.

Left to carry on his memory are his wife, Deborah Brookhart Moore; son, Benjamin Seth Moore (Ruth) of Redmond, WA; daughter, Izzy Moore Fields (Aaron) of Louisville; grandchildren, Noah Moore and Olivia Fields; and his brother, Joe Moore (Barbara) of Birmingham, AL.

Memorial services will be held in Louisville at Central Presbyterian Church, 318 W. Kentucky St., at 6:30 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2013 and in Lexington at Mt. Horeb Presbyterian Church, 2793 Iron Works Pike, at 11 am Saturday, September 7, 2013, inurnment is to follow at Mt. Horeb Presbyterian Church.
