Harry Edmond Mannix Jr.

SELLERSBURG - Mannix, Harry Edmond Jr., 66, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 after an illness.

Harry was born in Jeffersonville, IN, on July 31, 1947. He attended Sellersburg First Baptist Church, was a 1965 graduate of Silver Creek High School, earned his Bachelor's of Science Degree from Indiana University in 1997 and became a Certified Public Accountant in Indiana, Kentucky, and Florida. Harry retired from Farmand, Farmand, and Farmand Accounting in Jacksonville, FL. He was a 12 year veteran of the US Navy. Harry's interests included IU basketball, Florida State football, NASCAR, jigsaw and word puzzles.

He was preceded in death by parents, Harry and Frances Mannix; and a son, Douglas Mannix. Surviving are grandson, Payne Arruda-Mannix; sisters, Donna (Don) Turpin, Georgetown, IN, Marilyn (Tom) Scott, Sellersburg, IN, Sallie (Josh) Canfield, Clarksville, IN, Rosemary (Norman) Webster, The Villages, FL, Amy Beth (Tod) Thompson, Plainfield, IN, Mary Beth (Matt) Hackman, Floyds Knobs, IN; brother, Charles (Dana) Mannix, Indianapolis, IN.

A private service will be held for family only.

Expressions of sympathy in his honor may be given to Sellersburg First Baptist Church or do something nice for a veteran or active member of the military.
