Hascal Copass

COPASS, HASCAL, 89, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, March 9, 2013.

He was born in Tompkinsville, KY to Clarence and Oatie (Bledsoe) Copass. He was a retired barber at Ft. Knox Army post and was a member of Highview Valley Station Baptist Church. Hascal was a World War II Army veteran, serving with Gen. George Patton and was awarded the Purple Heart, 5 Bronze Stars and the Combat Infantry Badge.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers.

Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years, Evelyn (Wood) Copass; his sons, Jimmie Copass (Kaye) and Freddie Copass (Pat); three grandchildren, Susan Copass-Cheng, Kelli Copass-Simpson and Michael Copass (Laura); five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Elvin Copass (Mabel) and Wyman Copass (Glenda).

Funeral services will be held noon Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Bethany Cemetery with Military Honors.
