BERGER, HELEN GAY (HURT), 81, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012.
She was born July 2, 1930 in Lancaster, KY, the daughter of the late Tye Logan Hurt and Lola Gay Hurt. Helen was a retired Administrative Assistant for TARC with over 38 years of service. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and past officer of the National Secretaries Association. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Berger Sr.; sister, Ruth Scharrer and brother, James Hurt.
She is survived by her children, Diane Berger (Stuart Parris), Beverly Parris (Steve), Kenny Berger (Jill) and Stefanie Sydnor (Keith); five grandchildren, Jennifer Nichter (Kevin), Scott Parris (Jenny), Brad and Kristin Berger and Taylor Sydnor; five great-grandchildren, Leah, Jacob, Amelia, Nathan and Carter; and her sister, Mayme Scharrer.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with entombment to follow in Resthaven Mausoleum. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Pearson-Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road.
