James L. Constantine

CONSTANTINE, JAMES L., 80, left this earthly realm and went to Heaven on Monday, December 23, 2013.

Born on July 4, 1933 in Jeffersonville, IN, he worked for Stauffer Chemical for 28 years and retired from American Synthetic Rubber. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion #220.

Jim enjoyed bowling, fishing, horse racing, playing darts, and was an avid U of L fan.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Eugene and Goldie Constantine, his two brothers, John and Eugene Constantine and his former wife Joyce Ledbetter Constantine.

Jim is survived by his wife, Carolyn Maloney Constantine, his daughters, Christy Scoggins (Malcolm), Cindy Mahoney (Tom); stepsons Chuck and Craig Maloney, Tim (Pam), Mike (Sachi) and Rick (Linda) Ledbetter; stepdaughters, Charlotte Mason (Mike) and Cheryl Maloney; grandchildren; Brian Scoggins (Misti), Rachel Ruiz (Joe), Samantha Sherlin(Bradley), Ashley Strange (Bobby) and Michael Pinegar; great-grandchildren: Lindsey and Mitchell Scoggins, Max Ruiz, Tyler Sherlin, Mason Strange and step-grandchildren Chris and Chelsey Sims; Joshua, Ryan, Taichi and Takumi Ledbetter; step-great-grandchildren Logan, Kane and Evan Sims, Brooklyn, Braeden, Brianna and Baleigh Strange and Ocean and Milo Ledbetter, Brennen Check and many nephews and nieces.

Special thanks to Chuck and Craig Maloney, for the wonderful care given to Jim.

His funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Dr. with burial tin St. Anthony's Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Ratterman's.
