Jesse Garfield Watson

LANESVILLE - Watson, Chief Master Sergeant Jesse Garfield, 92, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at Golden Guardians in Corydon, IN.

He was born in Central, IN on May 20, 1921. He was a retired career Air Force veteran of World War II and Korea. He attended Old Capitol United Methodist Church in Corydon.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Sieg Baxley Watson, of Lanesville; son, Stephen Watson (Deborah) of Salt Lake City, UT; daughter, Diana Meyer (Tom) of Carmel, IN; four stepdaughters, Patricia Presley of Marengo, IN, Donna Stultz of New Salisbury, IN, and Janet Koons (Henry) and Margie Hoehn (Steve), all of Corydon; brother, Guy Watson of Clarksville, IN; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren 11 stepgrandchildren; 11 step great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Andy Hansen will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Corydon on Sunday, from 2-8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Monday.

The family suggests memorial gifts be made to Old Capitol United Methodist Church.
