Joseph D. Haworth

CLARKSVILLE - Haworth, Joseph D., 91, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013 at his home.

Joe "Papaw" was a native of Clarksville. He was married to Margaret and they spent their time dancing and taking care of their family. He was a retired millwright from Colgate. He was a member of VFW Post 1832, American Legion Post 35, and the Moose Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret, his daughter Patricia L. Stocksdale, his great-grandsons Ryan and Drew Stocksdale; his brothers Richard, Jimmy, Wilbur and Billy and his sisters Jenny, Wilnona, and Babe.

He is survived by his sister Betty Ann Coons and his four grandchildren, Leon Stocksdale Jr. (Bobbie), Jacalyn Dickman, Judy Stocksdale, and Bob Stocksdale (Melody), his eight great-grandchildren, Robby Stocksdale (Kirsten), Brian Haulter, Morgan Stocksdale Ash, Patrick Haulter (Crystal), Madison Dickman, Alanna Stocksdale Scott (Aaron), Damien Dickman and Derek Stocksdale, and his five great-great grandchildren, Nora, Sammy, Emily, Ryann and Cora.

Joe "Papaw" was well known for his silver Cadillac and being "Papaw on Patrol." His family was the love of his life and he was theirs.

Funeral services will be held at Coots' Sons Funeral Home on Friday at 1pm, with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Joe's Family will welcome visitors on Thursday, from 4 -8 p.m. to celebrate the life of Papaw Haworth.
