Mahlon "Bud" Dench

DENCH, MAHLON "BUD," 83, joined his wife of 47 years in Heaven on Sunday, January 12, 2014 while at home, peacefully surrounded by family.

He was retired from GE, a Navy veteran of the Korean War, a KY Colonel, a member of the Masonic Lodge, founding scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 461, and attended Highview Baptist Church East Campus.

He is survived by his children, Terry, Tim (Lori), and Tom (Karen) Dench and Gayle Green; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren on-the-way.

His funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with entombment in Resthaven Mausoleum Visitation is 2-8p.m. Wednesday and after 1p.m. Thursday until the time of the service.
