CURTIS, MARION A., 96, was born March 18, 1917, born again June 8, 1930, and passed peacefully to his heavenly reward on Tuesday, August 20, 2013.
He led a remarkably healthy and fulfilling life.
He was a Louisville native and a 1936 graduate of Manual H.S. He was the loving husband of Mildred (deceased) for 47 years. During those years they enjoyed traveling to such beautiful places as Hawaii and the Smokey Mountains. They took great pleasure in dancing the night away to the big band sound popular in their day. They liked spending quiet evenings with friends and serving in various civic and church causes.

seeing action in the South Pacific. He was a retired Sales Executive of South Central Bell having served the company 41 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Curtis; and brothers, Edward, Bryan, Charles, and Julian.
He is survived by a nephew, Robert Curtis; and nieces, Julia Hamblin, Phyllis Bishop, Betsy Hays, Marilynn Jackson, Jennifer Lange, Nancy Douglas, and Mary Dilday.
Visitation is 10 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2013 at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane followed by graveside service at 11 a.m. in Cave Hill Cemetery.
