CECIL, MARTHA BERNADINE, 84, of Louisville and Bardstown, KY, was born November 29, 1927 and returned to her Heavenly Father on October 25, 2012.
Martha was employed at Brown Williamson for 26 years. She was a member at St. Denis Church in Louisville for 50 years and a member at St. Michael's Church in Fairfield.
Preceding her in death were her loving husband, Pius Andrew Cecil, Sr.; her parents, Joseph Andrew and Martha Rose Lamkin; sisters, Zeta Smith, Thelma Marlette, Mary Lanham and Dorothy Reed; and brother, Nolan Lamkin.
Left to cherish her memory are children, Jerry (Ruth), Joyce (Tony), Faye (Larry), Tina (Steve), Kenny (Debbie), Sandy (Bob), Charlie (Anita), Pius (Laura), David, John (Donna) and Teresa (Tim); her grandchildren, Brian, Stephanie, Scott, Kristi, Tonya, Jennifer, Jayme, John John, Justin, Amanda, Misty Lynn, Jacob, Clayton and Ashlee; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and nine step-grandchildren.
A Mass to celebrate Bernadine's life will take place at Mary Queen of Peace, St. Denis Campus, 4205 Cane Run Road, Monday at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Raywick, KY. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. on Sunday at Ratterman Grand Chapels, 4832 Cane Run Road.
