Ralph Wagner

WAGNER, RALPH, of Louisville, went to his Heavenly Home, June 1, 2014, surrounded by love ones at Sam Swope Care Center, Masonic Home Rehab.

A native of Campbellsville, KY, he served in the U.S. Army (Vietnam War Purple Heart Recipient). He retired from General Electric after 30 years of service. He also retired from JCPS Special Needs Bus Compound after 11 years of service. He was president of Shawnee Terrace Block Watch, Life Member of NAACP, and American Legion. Ralph began his life with Christ at the Pleasant Run Baptist Church, Campbellsville, KY. After moving to Louisville, he joined Von Spiegel Baptist Church, were he served as Trustee for many years. Presently, he was a member, V.P. and Deacon at Breaking The Chain Ministries.

We want to thank Dr. Driscoll, Nurses and Staff of Norton Cancer Center for the wonderful care given to Ralph.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ann; son, Patrick (Stephanie); daughters, Sharon, Vickie, and Beverly; daughter-in-law, Tamara; brother, Fred (Minnie); sister, Betty (Andrew, Sr.); 14 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Ralph's Home Going Celebration will be held Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Nehemiah Baptist Church, 3336 W. Kentucky Street. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. and funeral service at noon. Entombment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements by Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons, 951 S. Preston Street.
