Roger Wesley Saylor Sr.

SAYLOR, ROGER WESLEY SR., 77, was called home to his Holy Father on November 23, 2012 and will be greatly missed as a wonderful husband, a great father, an amazing grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was born on December 22, 1934 in Salem, IN. He led a life of respect as a retired Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and a veteran of the Korean War.

He was married to his loving wife, Patricia Saylor, for 33 years, they shared many wonderful memories and 11 wonderful children together; Patti Beyl (Tom), Wesley Saylor Jr. (deceased), Jimmy Saylor (Debbie), Joshua Saylor (Julia), Tom Williams (Resa), Jeff Williams (Lola), Kerry Williams (Rhonda), Ronnie Williams (Peggy), Patrick Williams (Kelly), Dennis Lee and Jennifer Gellhaus (Dewayne); Along with 11 wonderful children, Roger had the blessing of being a part of the lives of 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

A dignified military service will be performed by the United States Marine Corps at Keenan's Funeral Home, 4724 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, 40216, on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 7 p.m. Following the crematory services, Roger will be taken to Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, 2501 North Dixie Boulevard, Radcliff, KY, 40160, to rest in peace along with his son, Roger Wesley Saylor Jr. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 2-8 p.m. at Keenan's.
