LOGAN, WALTER FRANCIS JR., 78, the son of the late Walter F. Logan Sr. and Susie Bell Logan, went to be with his heavenly father Saturday, December 8, 2012.

He was a retired elementary school principal with Jefferson County Public Schools, an Air Force veteran and a Mason.

Mr. Logan was preceded in death by his loving wife the former Rosie Mae Dunbar.

He is survived by his children, Walter F. Logan III (Jorene) and June Logan Shackelford; siblings, Juanita Christian (Jesse) and William Logan (Roslyn); grandchildren, Walter F. Logan, IV, Jesse J. Shackelford III, Logan F. Shackelford, and Kristen J. Logan, sisters-in-law, Carrie Parrott (Bennie) and Emma Sanders; brothers-in-law, Abram Dunbar Jr. (Joyce) and John Robinson; companion, Robin Briggs; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive visitors Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at A. D. Porter & Sons - Southeast, 4501 Bardstown Rd. Viewing will also take place 10-11 a.m. Friday at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blakenbaker Pkwy., with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be held in Cave Hill Cemetery.
